WPA POY Spotlight – Melanie Kaye

Melanie Kaye took the title of Foxwoods Poker Ladies Event Champion in March. As the overwhelming chip leader, the final three made a deal sending Melanie home with $5,000 and the trophy. Congratulations Melanie!

Living in Guilford, Connecticut, Foxwoods is where she played Blackjack and eventually learned to play poker with friends from work. She earned a WSOP Main Event Cash, her largest five figure score, in 2006, click here to view.

Melanie met her husband 15 years ago playing poker. In addition to poker, they enjoy cruises and spending time with their rescue dog, good friends, and family. She has worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 20 years, and is currently the New England Regional Trainer in a high tech respiratory home care company specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the original Poker Chix group on Facebook, started in 2004 when ladies poker networking began. She plays NLH tournaments & cash. She also enjoys slots.
